Raw Smoothie Recipes

Eating raw has become a very popular lifestyle with those interested in living and eating healthy.
Here are a couple of our favorite raw smoothie recipes:

This blueberry smoothie recipe will leave you wondering how anything so simple could be so delicious. Best of all it’s all raw food. You can enjoy it as breakfast, lunch, dinner or even as a snack.  It also rejuvenates you after a workout. You would never confuse it with a green tea smoothie either.

We’ve seen variations of this on many websites but not with our special twists that make the difference. Once we added the blueberries to our standard mix we knew we it was something special.  They really put the flavor over the top. Blueberry Smoothie Recipe:
Ingredients:

1 each – Fresh Coconut Water
5 each  – Fresh Dates
1  Cup Frozen Blueberries

Blueberry Smoothie Recipe:
Method:

Open the coconut and pour out the coconut water into the blender or food processor. Dump in the dates and blueberries.  Just blend until it has your desired consistency.

This awesome drink reciepe serves one.

If you want to try a variation just remove the blueberries. Or you can try just the coconut water and dates.  Some people call the daterarade which is delicious and a clever name at that. This makes a great workout drink to keep you going on those extra long runs.

We actually like to mix the dates with water instead of coconut water which gives it a much richer  taste and feel, which isn’t great for a refreshing workout sports drink.

The perfect mix is about 5 dates to 64 ounces of water.

Another one of our favorite raw smoothie recipes is a strawberry banana mixture that is so smooth you won’t believe it is just all fruit.

If you follow raw food diets yogurt is a not on the list.  Which takes a little getting used to at first. This mixture will remind you of the yogurt blends that are designed to drink.

If you’re missing your yogurt shakes this will fill the gap for you.

You’ll really like this one because it tastes just like your strawberry flavored yogurt.

If you like a different berry besides strawberries just substitute them and you’ll get the same burst of flavors. We can say enough about this amazing concoction of healthy, delicious raw fruit. 5 Bananas
1 cup frozen strawberries
Strawberry and Banana Smoothie Recipe Method:

Peel and quarter the bananas and place in a blender with the strawberries and blend. Use your low settings at first then turn it up to high for maximum smoothness.

Pop in a whole fresh strawberry and enjoy!

This should give you 1 to 2 servings of one of our most awesome raw smoothie recipes.
