I have nothing against the signature diets out there but I just find it to constricting. Not all people have the same body chemistry which would allow losing weight in the optimal level when you start a diet. What I would like to press on is going back to the basics. Live food is what we should be looking into. This is more focused on vegetables. If you cook your food you dissolve the enzymes that help you digest it.</p>

<p>If you heat your food, this is the time it dies down and it will eventually get rid of the enzymes or the life force of the food. Live food can be your ticket to better health. Your body may need some getting used to depending on the case. Take a look back and see how you went about eating. After you consume your last 35 meals, which one of those you actually ate because it was healthy and how many did you consume just because it was easier? If you are living a busy life, I am willing to bet that what you have eaten out of comfort is way more that what was healthy. This is the way of thinking that we really need to get rid of. There is a fair chance that the food you chose because it was right there within your reach is quite unhealthy. One guilty factor of unhealthiness is frying. We all love fried food. There is a special love if it is deep fried food. Oil may not be all that bad for you. If an establishment uses its oil over and over again, that is the time we really have to be alarmed.</p>

<p>This is where live food will really come in quite handy. If we have gotten used to fast food with their greasy burger and fries, then it is really time for a change. This is a dire change that we need to make. We are not going to be as healthy as we want to be if we stick to the calorie packed grease ball that some establishments pass of as food. Think about it, no better time to do this but now.</p>

You cannot argue with the nutritional value of veggies and they are a must on the dinner table all the time. Some adults may have a different meaning for the word healthy which is wrong. They would just have the picture of a slim figure and that constitutes healthy for them. This is not entirely true. A proper diet will give you the right figure without compromising your health.</p>

<p>Some parents also have a different look on what a healthy child is. They go and give the kid any food that he or she likes. Chances are 9 out of 10 food items they will be picking out are just plain junk. Sadly some parents ignore the healthy values of the food items and just give it to their kids anyway. Healthy food for kid is really something all parents should start considering. This will be a challenge to their actual parenting skills, getting your child to eat healthy. This is also a challenge on their culinary skills. They are challenged to put up a dish that the kids would just love while being healthy at the same time.</p>

We would be served a dish and we do have the patience to pick out the smallest morsel of vegetable that we see and set them aside on the plate? Do not be surprised if your child does that too. There is a way around that, you can make sausage rolls for dinner and infuse your protein mixture with vegetable. You can simply chop your vegetables finely then run them in the food processor. This is just perfect for carrots or pumpkins. They will not be able to pick that off; in fact they will not notice they are eating healthier. Healthy food for kid does not mean they are going to be horrid. You can make it a pleasant dining experience if you know how.</p>

A number of companies now have health and wellness as their battle cry.  A number of different approaches were made for this alone. It was a hard change to make but it is a much needed change that we would have to accept.</p>

Our all time favorites have also been dissected to see how many calories it carries and see how good or bad is it for the heart. I am not saying this is a bad thing. What I am saying that this is a new era in food. Healthy food is now the star of the show. The favorite classic food that we have enjoyed since we were kids now has a healthier version. Vegans will definitely rejoice with this phenomenon. Vegetable dishes are now making their way to the usual food that we love. It has now taken into the classics that we have grown fond of. It has now made its way to lasagna. There are vegetarian burgers and hotdogs now. Who would have thought about this coming around years ago?</p>

<p>Times have changed and it is time to be healthy. A number of different studies shows that over time the food that we eat is not getting any healthier which means the life expectancy is getting shorter and shorter. 1 green tea bag<br />
1/2 cup vanilla frozen yogurt<br />
1/2 cup non-fat milk<br />
3/4 cup crushed ice<br />
1 tsp fresh lemon juice<br />
Directions:<br />
Prep Time: 5 mins<br />
Total Time: 5 mins<br />
1. Steep tea bag in 1/4 cup boiling water, 4 to 6 minutes; let cool.<br />
2. Combine brewed tea, frozen yogurt, milk and ice in blender and puree until smooth.<br />
3. Pour into a tall glass and stir in lemon juice.</p>
<p>Berry Green Tea Smoothie<br />
Ingredients:<br />
Servings:2<br />
1/2 cup cranberries<br />
1/4 cup blueberries<br />
1/2 cup blackberry<br />
5 strawberries<br />
1 banana<br />
1/2 cup green tea brewed and cooled<br />
1/4 cup yogurt (or soy milk)<br />
2 tablespoons honey<br />
1 teaspoon ginger (minced)<br />
Directions:<br />
Prep Time: 5 mins<br />
Total Time: 5 mins<br />
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth and frothy.</p>
<p>Green Tea Berry Smoothie<br />
Ingredients:<br />
Servings:1-2<br />
1/4 cup water, plus more as needed<br />
1 green tea bag<br />
2 tablespoons ground flax seeds or 2 tablespoons flax seed oil<br />
2 tablespoons oat bran or 2 tablespoons wheat germ<br />
1 1/2 cups frozen mixed berries<br />
6 ounces low-fat vanilla yogurt<br />
1/4 cup cranberry juice or 1/4 cup apple juice<br />
honey, to taste<br />
Directions:<br />
Prep Time: 5 mins<br />
Total Time: 5 mins<br />
1. Microwave water on high until boiling, about 45-60 seconds. Add tea bag and steep for 3 minutes.<br />
2. Meanwhile, in a blender or food processor (or hand blender), combine ground flaxseed, oat bran, berries, yogurt and juice and blend until smooth.<br />
3. Squeeze and remove tea bag and add tea to berry mixture, blending until smooth.<br />
4. Adjust consistency with additional water, if needed and sweeten with honey, if desired.<br />
5. Makes 1 large or 2 small servings.</p>

<p>This emotional eating pattern of behavior may work for a while and even seem like a good way to cope. You thinking will soon change when you get on the scale and notice you&#8217;ve gained ten pounds seemingly overnight. It&#8217;s impossible to hide behind your favorite foods just to make the stress go away. You have to eventually address the root of the problem to find a solution.</p>
<p>Some people who fight emotional eating call their favorites &#8220;comfort foods&#8221;. Probably because when they eat them for a while at least they feel relieved, calm and ready to deal with their problems again. Unfortunately many cannot deal with the root issue and soon return to their comfort foods again and again and so start gaining weight and becoming even more miserable.</p>
<p>Generally most emotional eaters crave these three types of foods. Sweet foods and desserts like ice cream, cookies, cakes and even donuts and candy. Foods that contain lots of carbs like potatoes, chees and past run a close second on the comfort food list. High fat foods round out the list.  Foods like fried chicken and all other fried foods too.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t add this problem to your list of things that stress you out though.  Emotional eating can be battled. The best way is to address the stress directly and get rid of it before you eat your way to being unhealthy. Step one to stress relief is simply recognize your problem.  Then admit that it is a problem and that eating is your reaction to the problem. Accept the feelings of guilt that may accoompany this recognition but don&#8217;t dwell on it.  This a normal reaction when we have problems and actually address them. Secondly find someone to talk to who will give you sound advice. A professional counselor or psychologist located in your area is most likely the best qualified to talk to.   But if that is impossible talk to your good friends, family members or your church pastor about your problems. Going to the gym or a weight loss guru can&#8217;t really help because emotional eating is caused not by lack of exercise. The third thing to do is to get your family involved. Don&#8217;t keep you problems to yourself.  Your family is the best support system you can have.  Use them to help you get through the stressful times.  This will help you avoid the urge to overeat.</p>
<p>They can be on the lookout for the symptoms that cause you to go for your comfort foods and nip them in the bud. Start enjoying regular exercise and a healthy diet.  You&#8217;ll be amazed how you feel instantly better and happier with just this small lifestyle change. This change of habit alone may be all it takes to end your emotional eating problem forever.</p>

When was the last time you actually had green leafy vegetables on your meal? I am not talking about the lettuce on your sandwich. What we are looking for is the healthy salad that you have prepared. When was the last time you had kale? This may not be a very attractive perspective for some but there is still hope. I got 2 words for you; Kale smoothie.</p>

<p>This is probably the best way to eat your veggies. There are a number of different approaches in preparing your vegetables but this is probably the easiest way to go. This may have been prepared with the busy people of today in mind. Like I said, people have been choosing the food they eat according to what is near or comfortable for them. They already miss to think about what is healthy. Kale smoothie is one great way to start it all. A good tip is to buy them in bulk and freeze them. It would be easier to break them down in the blender. I know kale is not the tastiest thing on the planet and making a smoothie out of it may be a total disaster but there are ways to get around that. You can add berries to your kale smoothie. It’s your choice. You can start with the green berry and you can make the recipe your own by using other berries or perhaps altering the recipe in a way that it would please your palettes.</p>
